Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India. There are many benefits such as improved flexibility, increased muscle strength, improved respiration, energy and vitality, maintaining a balanced metabolism, weight reduction, cardio and circulatory health and reduced stress levels. There's some evidence that regular yoga practice is beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains – including lower back pain – depression and stress.
The Medway Towns Gurdwara Sabha hosts Yoga Classes which are run free of charge by a qualified practitioner in the Annex building which is adjacent to Gurdwara with a separate entrance.
These classes run every Saturday afternoon from 14:00 – 15:00 and are open to all.
